A key element to our investment process is a thematic approach. We attempt to capitalize on the undercurrents of structural economic, political, social, demographic, and/or industry-specific change. Once identified, this perspective is constantly reviewed and acts as a framework for further investment analysis. Thematic opportunities are subsequently evaluated by our investment team using proprietary fundamental and quantitative analysis.
We apply deliberate focus on risk management to every step of the investment process. Our primary consideration is always the protection of client capital. We leverage 130 years of collective investment experience of our Domestic Equity Investment Team and employ a variety of risk management tools to deliver risk-adjusted returns.
Our goal over a full market cycle is to participate in positive markets and to provide protection against down periods. Our investment process is well-defined and repeatable, and portfolio construction is the result of thorough analysis.
