At Roosevelt, managing for risk isn’t limited to equity investing. Just like our equity strategies, our fixed income portfolios are guided by a thematic approach. Our Global Enhanced Fixed Income Strategy seeks to build a portfolio of 30-40 fixed income securities.
An Overview of our Global Enhanced Fixed Income Investment Process
Our fixed income investment team employs macro-economic analysis to identify opportunities for total return and potential areas of risk. Interest rate forecasting and thorough credit analysis is complemented by thematic research, which seeks to identify possible undercurrents of structural economic, political, social, demographic, and/or industry-specific change. These themes represent potential drivers of sustainable growth or opportunities where we can seek to capitalize on market inefficiencies. And our equity and fixed income investment teams share market intelligence, which provides deeper insight into the capitalization structure of a company. This team-oriented approach provides additional protection against credit risk exposure.
International investing presents certain risks not associated with investing solely in the US, such as currency fluctuation, political and economic change, social unrest, changes in government regulations, differences in accounting and the lesser degree of accurate public information available.
